The Medical Team

Our medical team offers primary care and the most recently approved treatment for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Our medical team consists of two Infectious Disease Specialists, a Registered Nurse, Adherence Counselor, and a Registered Dietitian. Our support staff consisting of a Receptionist, Billing Coordinator, and Clinic Administrator is available to assist with scheduling, billing, insurance issues and providing general information about the services offered at our clinic. Below you will find a brief job description for each of our medical team.

REGISTERED NURSE:

Review client lab work.
Prep clients for appointments.
Triage phone calls.
Assists with clinical / drug studies.
Acts as a liaison between client and physician and/or support service team.


ADHERENCE COUNSELOR:

Helps clients prepare for and adhere to complex HIV/AIDS treatments.
Helps clients understand the importance of adherence to their medication regimen and schedule.
Stresses the importance of the client as a participant in their HIV/AIDS care.
Monitors whether medications are taken correctly and according to the prescribed schedule. This will reduce the chance of developing drug resistance or viral mutation.


REGISTERED DIETITIAN:

Assesses the client's individual nutrition needs.
Helps clients set nutritional goals and develop action steps to meet their goals.
Works with clients to ensure they have adequate access to healthful foods.
Provides up-to-date and reliable nutrition information.
